An hour or two

Do you know someone with an unused iPad? We need your help!

From the early days of radio and television where the whole family would gather round the set, to today’s modern devices that allow us to watch, listen to, or play what we want, when we want, entertainment technology has continued to change the way we spend time in our homes.  We are looking for an old iPad or tablet (it doesn’t need to work, as it won’t be turned on) for display in the Home Gallery.  Alongside we want to tell a personal story so we would need the owner to answer some questions about how it was used and what it meant to them.

What's involved?

Asking people you know if they have an old iPad (or other tablet) and would like to donate it to the museum's collection.

Putting them in touch with our curatorial tea, who will be able to talk with them further.

Why get involved?

You will be making an important contribution to the development of our Homes gallery.

How to get involved?

Step 1: Sign into your Geffrye Maker account

Step 2: Accept the challenge

Step 3: A member of our curitorial team will be in touch
